U-35 crew member Karl Reinecke

Karl Reinecke was born on 21 March 1911 in Langelsheim near Goslar. He joined the Reichsmarine on 27 October 1931, and served within the Saltzwedel U-Flotilla, especially on board U-35, from October 1936 until November 1938 as a senior radioman.

After 1938, Karl Reinecke served in various training capacities until the end of the war. He attained the rank of Stabsoberfunkmeister.

Karl Reinecke founded Elektro-Reinecke in Goslar after the war, and retired in 1971. He passed away on 26 March 1992 and is survived by his son Werner Reinecke, who is a major contributor to this website.
